Originally focused in the pharmaceutical market, this technology is now used in biotechnology, biomedical, bio-defence, military and, of course, healthcare where it is used to eradicate “superbugs” from hospitals. With the emergence of new hospital bugs and changes in European legislation on decontamination products, RBDS is expanding to cope with demand and ensure the continuation of excellent customer service.Joining the team as an RBDS Technician you will be given full and extensive training on all aspects of our equipment and service ensuring that you are capable of delivering the decontamination service to our high standards (both of safety and customer service). Upon completion of the training period, you will become part of a team working under the RBDS Service Manager performing large RBDS deployments; after an extended shadowing period, you will take control of project planning, management, and service delivery.What you will do:
  • Develop a keen understanding of RBDS methods in order to provide support to both front line and back office processes.
  • Will be expected to take a leading role in the management of a small team of apprentice level employees.
  • With global demand for our services growing, will also enjoy worldwide travel (sometimes with limited notice!)
  • Develop close working relationships with Bioquell’s international subsidiaries and distributors.
What you will need:
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and initiative with a service-driven mentality.
  • A flexible approach to working in a customer-focused service business.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good written and arithmetic skills to comply with audits and GMP standards.
  • Understanding of GMP/GLP standards.
  • Ability and confidence to work alone on a customer site without supervision and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • BSc or equivalent in Engineering/Science with ‘hands-on’ technical ability.
  • Project management or leadership experience preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
  • Passport essential.

Location:Based in the UK South Coast (Southampton, Portsmouth, Worthing).This is a remote role primarily involving substantial travel (worldwide) and multiple nights away from home.Work hours:40 hours per week (Mon – Friday. Candidate will be required to be on call every other weekend with lieu time accrued should they be called onto work.Vaccination:Candidates are required to be vaccinated against a number of specific micro-organisms.Personal Protection:Personal protection equipment (PPE) may be worn on customer sites.
