Are you a commercially-minded individual with a strong engineering background and a knack for estimating? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment where your knowledge of CNC processes and customer service skills will make a real impact.This is a Temporary to Permanent vancancy.To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Estimator or Technical Sales role within a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • A HND in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Confident using Excel (including formulas), Outlook, and Word
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - with a professional phone manner
  • A proactive team player who's well-organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise multiple demands
Within this position, you’ll also be:
  • Produce accurate quotations using customer drawings and CNC manufacturing knowledge
  • Perform contract reviews for approved quotes, ensuring correct pricing, revisions, and quantities
  • Be the main point of contact for customer queries, handling both technical and commercial matters
  • Proactively develop new customer relationships and support existing ones
  • Coordinate visits and meetings for the Commercial Manager
  • Collaborate closely with planning, production control, and engineering departments
