
Senior Asset Management Associate (INFRA)

- Develop relationships with underlying management teams, boards of directors, and service providers
- Work closely with investment teams, operating professionals, Operating Directors, and portfolio company management to:
- Onboard newly acquired portfolio companies
- Establish appropriate governance arrangements
- Help define strategic plans
- Drive implementation of value creation opportunities
- Support ongoing operational improvement, restructuring, or re-engineering to maximize value creation
- Support, advise, and challenge management teams, including taking formal board roles in the holding structure where appropriate
- Maintain strong operational focus, regularly reviewing financial and operational performance of portfolio companies, ensuring achievement of agreed goals
- Independently manage due diligence support for lead investments and prepare recommendations for value creation plans
- Conduct and coordinate reporting, investment monitoring, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts
- Support client interactions, presenting portions of pitches or presentations
- Help continuously develop asset management-related processes, tools, best practices, and playbooks
- Master's and/or MBA and minimum 6- 10 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to understand a private equity underwriting and value creation plan (including the P&L, CF and BS). Ability to translate this into action items, KPIs and lead execution from board perspective.
- Experience in designing and running transformation programs (setting up a strategic plan, start the implementation,…)
- Demonstrates sound functional expertise in operations and SG&A functions (operational excellence, cost saving and operational transformation / operational restructuring programs, value creation programs) or as a second priority scaling businesses and experience of implementation of buy-and-build strategies)
- Analytical skillset, thinks quantitatively
- Experienced in working with management teams outside-in, can communicate on eye-level with C-level management and board and is accepted / respected by management and board members
- Sound understanding of integrated business planning (P&L, CF & BS), financing and valuation
- Ideally one or several of the following
- Operational management experience from PMO and / or executive function in a corporate environment having gained a good understanding of how to successfully establish value creation / transformation in a corporate environment
- Experience from international working environment
- Operational and / or strategy consulting firm (had touchdowns with PE but not only for DD but for strategy implementation, value creation or restructuring expertise)
- Experience from Private Markets Firm or experience of having worked within private equity backed businesses
- Expertise in infrastructure (sub-sectors) is a plus, not a must
