We are looking to appoint 2 locum consultant obstetricians to join our maternity team, for a 12 months post. We have a variety of specialist clinics (both scan and non-scan) including: mental health, vulnerable service users, twins, preterm birth, small baby and Rainbow. The services are multi-professional, including our specialist midwives. The successful applicant will join our team and has the opportunity to customise the post to include a special interest session of their choice. The post will include a vulnerable service user clinic.Main duties of the jobOur maternity service has a variety of specialist clinics (both scan and non-scan) including: mental health, vulnerable service users, twins, preterm birth, small baby and Rainbow.   • MRCOG Relevant CCT or equivalent ('equivalence' must be confirmed by GMC by date of interview) *
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the interview (Appointments Advisory Committee)
Professional Qualifications/DevelopmentEssential
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent experience
Clinical Experience and effectivenessEssential
  • Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCST
