
Refinery Mechanical Operator

- Safety - responsible for own personal safety and of that of people working in your area, Insuring the safe start-up, running and shut-down of plant and machinery in their area.
- Environmental Awareness - looking at weather forecasts to prepare plant for potential flood conditions and taking the longer than 12 hour view. Maintain high standard of cleanliness following GMP guidelines and maintaining our ISO14001 standard.
- PM Completion - Perform maintenance tasks and liaise with maintenance department.
- Compliance - ensure product throughput and quality is maintained to the required levels and specification.
- Site Inspection - site inspection with the use of a digital auditor (Lagging, steam leak, air leaks and others).
- Reporting - supporting the shift manager with all mechanical need. Responsible for Liaise with other process departments to insure all owned area's run smoothly.
- Handovers - responsible for completing a clear handover to the oncoming shift, shift logs are complete and work orders raised.
- NVQ Level 3, City & guilds, B Tech or equivalent is required
- Time served Mechanical apprentice or similar relevant experience (e.g., Boiler house operator)
- Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) is preferred.
- Water Treatment plant knowledge is preferred.
- Awareness of Safe System of Work- LOTO, RAMS, Permit.
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
