Rate: £31,836 - £35,164 per annum

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Facilities Technician:
  • Lead and carry out routine maintenance and repairs across the school site
  • Manage and monitor the safety and security of the buildings and grounds
  • Coordinate contractors and external suppliers when needed
  • Support the smooth operation of facilities, including heating, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Conduct regular safety checks and report any issues promptly
  • Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for school events
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and stock levels
Requirements to be a successful Senior Facilities Technician:
  • Proven experience in a facilities or maintenance role, preferably in a school or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills and a flexible approach to work
  • Basic DIY and technical skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe environment for all
