JOB TITLE:Junior AccountantROLE TYPE (permanent/temporary):Permanent / full-timeLOCATION / REMOTE WORKING:Office based (Head Office) in Hertfordshire and potential to work from their 2nd Office occasionally, in Hertfordshire.HOURS / DAYS (per week):9am – 5:30pm (7.5 hours per day) Mon - FriSALARY RANGE:£24,000-£26,000 annual salary (depending on experience)NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS:6 monthsBENEFITS / BONUSES / HOLIDAYS:20 paid annual leave days plus bank holidaysCOMPANY CULTURE:This highly reputable Accountancy firm is quickly growing and looking to bolster their team. With out of work activities taking place throughout the year, the culture and environment provides a great work/life balance.JOB DESCRIPTION:As a junior accountant you will support the team and your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Bookkeeping
  • Producing management accounts and reports
  • VAT Returns
  • Yearend accounts preparation and submission to companies house and HMRC
  • Self-assessment tax returns
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
You will be provided extensive training on all of the above but a basic knowledge in these areas is required. The role has the opportunity for growth into a senior role or potentially to specialise in an accounting area of interest.KEY SKILLS:

ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero experience preferableGood basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge e.g. bank reconciliation, sales ledger reconciliation etc.Experience working on Microsoft applications such as excel, outlook and word.The ideal candidate will have already spent at least one year working in practiceAPPRENTICESHIP COURSES / LEVELS (if applicable):AAT (full or part qualified)TIME FRAMES:ASAP – the interview process is still being finalised but interviews will be taking place throughout April.
