Job Description:Robert Half Finance & Accounting are exited to be partnering our client, a growing business based in the South West, in their recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent contract. Working closely with an impressive Financial Controller, you will provide information on the financial performance of the business and support in decision making. This is an ideal stepping stone if you have a background in audit/ management accounts/ operational finance and want to grow into a Financial Controller position in the future!Hybrid working is supported, and the salary on offer is up to £65,000 + benefits.Responsibilities:
  • Support in the day to day running of operational finance
  • Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts - preparing journals for accruals and prepayments
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed
  • Be responsible for financial reporting
  • Perform variance analysis to understand company performance and provide commentary to explain variances of budget / forecast
  • Support the FC in coaching and developing the Finance Team
  • Identify best working practices and implement efficiency improvements
  • Support in the year end close and statutory reporting
  • Support with both internal and external audit
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of the annual budget & quarterly forecasts, partnering with other departments and challenging assumptions
About You:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CA)
  • Prior experience in management accounts, and ideally exposure to audit & reporting
  • Prior management / supervisory experience is ideal
  • Strong people skills and be a confident business partner with a range of stakeholders
  • Be driven and looking to push your career forward
