  • Ensure the company collaborates with financially secure and compliant (re)insurers.
  • Engage proactively in Market Security Committee meetings, offering administrative and analytical assistance.
  • Collaborate with the Market Security Coordinator, Committee Chair, and team members to guarantee the efficient operation of the Market Security function.
  • Guarantee the compliant onboarding of (re)insurers according to regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing due diligence to assess the financial stability and compliance of placing (re)insurers.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex queries related to substandard markets, company structure changes, and compliance issues.
  • Liaise directly with insurers to clarify their structure, business profile, and documentation (e.g., financial reports, profit & loss statements).
  • Monitor rating movements from agencies such as AM Best, Moody’s, and S&P, providing timely updates to the business.
  • Use internal and external analysis systems to review (re)insurer financials.
  • Prepare updates, including security downgrade announcements, for collaborators in UK businesses.
  • Maintain and assess the Market Security List, verifying the accuracy and currency of all information.
  • Maintain and publish approved Market Security lists, ensuring records are always current and accessible.
  • Compile and distribute information packets for Market Security Committee meetings in accordance with internal protocols.
  • Capture meeting minutes, track actions, and follow up on post-meeting plans.
  • Support the Market Security Coordinator by handling ad-hoc business inquiries, such as client information and assistance.
  • Offer supervision and support to the UK Market Security function as needed.
  • Assist the Market Security Coordinator and Chair by drafting reports, presentations, and updates.
  • Work together with brokers, account teams, and collaborators to make sure clients are matched with financially stable and compliant carriers.
  • Share Market Security policies and Terms of Reference with the Market Security Committee.
About You
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance and reinsurance markets.
  • Basic knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, and a good understanding of underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk.
  • Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry, particularly in market security or compliance roles.
  • Familiarity with rating agencies and their methodologies (e.g., AM Best, Moody's, S&P).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle various tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Outstanding social skills, with diplomacy, tact, and empathy.
  • Ability to manage complex and highly confidential information.
  • Capable of independently managing various tasks and collaborating with diverse project groups.
  • Proficient in quantifying data and presenting insightful analyses.
  • A meticulous and thorough approach to work.
  • Problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant systems.
