And we're looking for the best people to be part of it.Join a team of experts and progressive thinkersA vacancy has arisen for a paralegal to join our Real Estate team, to be based in either our Leeds or Bristol office (with flexible hybrid-working).This role will involve supporting our lawyers who advise clients across various aspects of commercial property, but with a particular emphasis on acquisitions, disposals, development agreements and the full range of landlord and tenant matters acting for NHS bodies.As a paralegal in the team, you'll not only enhance your technical skills and legal knowledge, but also gain valuable opportunities to meet clients and build your professional network.You would be joining a busy team and would have the chance to be part of, and help shape, our ambitious growth plans as a firm. On offer is plenty of variation in the work and plenty of support from both the property team and the wider firm to help you develop.What we are looking for from youThe successful applicant will possess the following skills, which are key to the role:
- Experience in dealing with leases, licences to occupy, licences to assign, licences to underlet, tenancies at will, licences to alter and other ancillary landlord and tenant documentation
- The ability to conduct title investigation, review searches and enquiries, raise enquiries and report to the client with minimal supervision
- Experience in dealing with all aspects of post completion including SDLT forms and submissions and Land Registry applications and requisitions
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise own caseload and assist fee earners with their workloads and priorities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in dealing regular multi-party client update calls preferable (with or without fee earner assistance)
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior paralegals within the team
- The ability to manage team billing responsibilities
- Experience in acting for public sector NHS clients (and a knowledge and understanding of their precedent documents) preferable.
