Job Description:Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a rapidly growing organisation based in Oxford within the renewable energy industry to recruit an Accountant for a 12 month MAT cover contract, with an opportunity to go permanent.The Accountant will receive a salary of up to £45,000 along with other attractive benefits including hybrid remote working, you will only need to go into the office 2-3 days a week!Primary responsibilities;

Adhere to financial controls / policies
Maintaining accurate supplier records across jurisdictions, including onboarding details and ensuring compliance with financial controls
Month-end preparation: accruals, prepayments, control accounts reconciliation, and VAT / GST close (ensuring all postings in place and sample testing)
Daily bookkeeping: invoice posting (including employee expenses)
Some invoice preparation
Payment process: AP/AR schedules and settlements
Month-end and VAT / GST close tasks (overlap with financial control environment but focus here is statutory compliance)
Global bank reconciliations
VAT/GST close: ensuring all postings in place and sample testing
Maintaining accurate global supplier records, including onboarding details

Key experience and attributes;

Strong experience within a similar finance role
Month end experience
Proven experience with different accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
Effective communication and organisational skills
