Looking for a worthwhile job with the hours that work for you ? Female onlyJoin us as a Support Worker, we provide support 24 hours a day seven days per week.We normally plan the rotas one month in advance, but additional opportunities also come up due to unexpected staff absences and sleep-ins.So what would you be doing?You will provide invaluable support to five people with learning disabilities who live in their own home in Flitwick. So what would you be doing? Who better to tell you than David* Susan* Stephen Sharon* and Paul*. We asked them what they want from their new support worker. Things you need to know about us:-
  • I like the house to be very clean and tidy, I enjoy doing my bit but need support.
  • I'm a smoker and need some support in managing my smoking and buying my cigarettes on a Friday.
  • I like to have things to look forward to. Help me find out what's on and plan trips.
  • Routine is very important to me. I need support to understand when things change and why they are changing
  • Be patient and give me time to understand and do things
  • We are all very unique individuals with strong personalities, likes and dislikes
  • Talk to us about the things we like and our special interests - james bond, music, trucks, & filming,.
  • Things we quite like when we do choose to go out are…. shopping, parties, pubs, karaoke, cinema, lunch out, visiting family, theatre, going on holidays
  • We are able to make a lot of choices for ourselves, support us to do this.
