Contract Type: Full-TimeVision for Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work at a highly regarded SEN school in Ashford, Kent. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with students with a range of special educational needs, providing individualised support both inside and outside of the classroom. You will assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, help manage behaviour, and ensure that each student can achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support students with personal care and daily activities as required.
- Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to monitor student progress.
- Support the inclusion of students in mainstream activities and events when appropriate.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN setting.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ideally, a qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3), though this is not essential
- Excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.
