Are you an accomplished Financial Controller who has an appetite to help drive change across a growing SME?A well-established and highly successful business based near Bishop’s Stortford are looking for a Financial Controller to help facilitate financial growth.Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on, commercial role with real opportunity to shape and drive financial strategy as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes
Supervise and mentor a small finance team across accounts payable, receivable, Management Accounts, and payroll
Support strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis
Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors and other external stakeholders
Drive process improvements and contribute to wider business projects

As a Financial Controller you will be:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with proven post-qualification experience
Strong financial control, budgeting and forecasting expertise
Experience leading and developing a finance team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels
