The University of Exeter is seeking a full-time, permanent appointment within the Department of Engineering as part of the strategy. The Department of Engineering is one of the few truly integrated engineering departments in the United Kingdom and world. It is also one of the largest departments in the University of Exeter, with this breadth and scale bringing about unique advantages. Applicants will possess:
  • A PhD or equivalent in Engineering or a closely related subject and have an independent, internationally-recognised research programme in a relevant active field of research.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of specialism to enable the development of new knowledge, innovation and understanding in one of the following areas:
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Robotics and Automation
  • Smart Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Technologies
  • Water and Environmental Engineering
  • A strong record in attracting funding for research or demonstrate potential to attract such funding.
  • A strong track record of world-leading academic publications in leading international journals.
  • Experience of leading/active involvement in the development and delivery of teaching and educational programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate.
