As a Principal Supportability Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will work closely with our customers which include the UK MoD's Defence Equipment and Support organisation and the UK Royal Navy's surface ships.Day-to-day, you'll deliver essential reactive engineering and in service support to front line operations.
  • Providing appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers, based on technical tasking delivery, technical investigation and contract specific activities.
  • Providing management of analytics, specialising in the delivery of engineering designs.
  • Contributing to the development of through life equipment support solutions.
  • Evaluation of technical advice and engineering support for marine systems and equipment.
  • Ensuring that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and equipment.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.Essential experience of the Principal Supportability Engineer:
  • Demonstrably strong engineering and relevant technical management background that is appropriate to supporting complex and safety critical systems and equipment.
  • Strong communicator, able to build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Refined problem solving and prioritisation skills, you are able to formulate pragmatic solutions and present them in a clear and coherent way.
  • Recognise the importance of coaching and developing your team.
Qualifications for the Principal Supportability Engineer:
  • Degree qualified with demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Ideally have CEng status or working towards professional registration.
