We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented leader for a 12-month maternity cover contract to lead our Strategy & Operations team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for steering the company's strategic direction and ensuring its successful execution. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will lead a high-performing team of seven and act as a key partner to our C-suite and senior leadership, driving alignment and momentum on our most important strategic priorities.Trustpilot is growing faster than ever. We have huge ambitions. Our Strategy & Operations team is the central nervous system for the company's long-term success. The team is made up of 2 halves - the Strategy Team (2 FTE) and the Transformation Delivery Team (5 FTE). Together, the team has three core responsibilities: * Set the Company Strategy: We define the company's 3-year strategic vision and create the annual "Gameplan"-our value creation plan.
  • Ensure Strategic Delivery: We translate strategy into action. We do this by facilitating the company's operational rhythm through quarterly OKRs, programme managing large-scale strategic initiatives, and running executive and leadership reviews to track progress.
  • Communicate the Strategy: We partner with internal teams to ensure our strategy is clearly understood across the organisation, communicating our progress and priorities throughout the year.
What you'll be doing: * Guide the setting of the company strategy :
  • Steer the annual strategic planning process, guiding your team and the C-Suite to develop the company's "Gameplan," which defines our value creation plan and key priorities.
  • Oversee your team's delivery of continuous external market analysis, ensuring the C-suite receives actionable insights on the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Ensure your strategy team are key thought partners to the CSO and C-suite on major, ambiguous strategic questions, leveraging analysis to shape the company's long-term direction.
  • Oversee strategic delivery:
  • Ensure the successful orchestration of the company's operational rhythm, managing your team as they facilitate the quarterly OKR and action-planning process.
  • Provide senior oversight and direction for the programme management of our most critical, cross-functional strategic initiatives, ensuring your team drives them to successful outcomes.
  • Lead high-stakes executive strategy reviews and leadership events, holding the business accountable for progress and steering conversations to identify risks and solutions.
  • Champion strategic communication and alignment:
  • Direct the partnership with the Internal Communications team, guiding your team to deliver clear communications on the external market, the future gameplan and in year progress, that keeps the organisation engaged.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a talented team of seven strategy and transformation professionals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and career growth through dedicated 1:1s, clear objective setting, and ongoing performance development.
Who you are:
  • You have impressive professional experience within a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or a corporate strategy and delivery role at a high-growth technology company.
  • You possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex, ambiguous problems and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • You are an outstanding communicator and influencer, with the gravitas and polish to build strong relationships with and present to C-suite executives.
  • You have deep experience in programme managing complex, cross-functional initiatives from conception to completion.
  • You are highly pragmatic, results-oriented, and comfortable navigating the demands of a dynamic, publicly listed company.
  • Experience with strategic frameworks like OKRs is highly advantageous.
  • You have a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, with a genuine passion for coaching and mentorship.
