Job Title: Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: LancashireSalary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annumJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role:We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction and fit-out specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone recently graduated or with a couple of years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally within fit-out, refurbishment, or construction projects.You’ll work closely with senior surveyors and project managers on a variety of projects across commercial sector.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
  • Measure quantities and prepare bills of quantities.
  • Help manage project costs to ensure budgets are met.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and costs.
  • Support in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Keep accurate records of project documentation and cost data.
About You:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards).
  • 1–2 years’ relevant experience in construction or fit-out.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with industry-specific software beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
