Temporary Ongoing Position
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative with experience in operating articulated trucks to join our team in Southwick, Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience operating articulated trucks and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality standards, and the smooth running of our warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities: * Achieve set targets and performance standards to meet departmental goals
  • Operate print and lamination machines, ensuring smooth operation
  • Unload and verify raw materials, matching delivery manifests with goods received
  • Manage stock, including locating raw materials, issuing, and handling returns
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste, using a bailer and wrapping onto pallets
  • Maintain high levels of warehouse cleanliness and organisation
  • Conduct daily safety checks on forklift trucks, maintaining accurate records
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock management
  • Continuously seek improvements in productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities: * Adhere to company health and safety guidelines and statutory legislation
  • Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards during shifts
  • Contribute to reducing environmental impact through waste reduction initiatives
  • Support quality standards by identifying areas for process improvement
Skills & Experience: * Valid Forklift License (minimum of 1 year's experience)
  • flexi/bendi/pivot steer forklift license
  • Proficient in stock entry using computer systems
  • Experience completing vehicle safety checks
  • Ability to verify delivery manifests and ensure accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
  • Good team player with effective communication skills
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
  • High safety awareness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
