- Perform tool maintenance, repairs, and modifications as required by production and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve tooling issues and improve tooling performance.
- Ensure tools meet all functional, dimensional, and cosmetic requirements before release.
- Maintain detailed records of work, tool designs, and revisions.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures.
- Manufacture and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to tight tolerances.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models to determine best machining strategies.
- Operate a range of toolroom machinery including manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, EDMs, and surface grinders.
- Proficiency with both manual and CNC machining techniques.
- Strong knowledge of materials and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
- Competency with inspection tools and methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Time-served apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Precision Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker in a precision manufacturing environment.
