Description:The post holder will undertake the role of Nurse Practitioner, utilising agreed levels of decision making and clinical judgment to triage, assess and treat a diverse range of Paediatric and Adult patients presenting in General Practice.Role Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to patients, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret medical history
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as bloods and other results
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsEssential Requirements
- Valid NMC in the UK
- Educated to degree level
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or similar role
- Experience in general practice environment
- Excellent knowledge of patient care principles and practices
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Experience in minor illness treatment
- Knowledge and experience of chronic disease management (asthma/diabetes specifically)
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
