Your new roleWhat you'll do:
  • Undertake planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance work either independently or
  • To undertake planned and responsive Gas work either independently or supervised
  • To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group.
  • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools
  • To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety
  • Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales, informing the administrator or Contract Lead of any follow up action that may be required
  • Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go
  • To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities
  • To report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy
  • The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
  • To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
  • To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements (must have an understanding of pumps, motors, and fire dampers)
What you'll need:
  • Time served Commercial Gas Engineer with experience in installation and maintenance work
  • Post holder must hold a full current driving license and be willing to travel
  • We would expect excellent Customer Care
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work safely at all times
  • Ability to work within a team.
