- Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
- Registered Pharmacist: Member of GPhC
- Post-graduate certificate in clinically-based pharmacy or equivalent
- Demonstrate professional networking (e.g. member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society or UKCPA)
- Registered Independent Pharmacist Prescriber
- Significant experience of hospital pharmacy at Post Registration Pharmacist level
- Significant experience of delivery of pharmacy services to a broad range of specialties
- Experience of delivery of clinical pharmacy service to a specialist level
- Experience of conducting service audits and the use of performance indicators
- Experience of teaching and tutoring
- Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development
- Experience of project management
- Experience of training other pharmacy staff
- Experience in foundation pharmacist training
- Experience of managing staff
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload
- Work, communicate and provide effective leadership within a team
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner.
- Able to recognise and embrace new ideas and developments in clinical practice and implement under supervision of superiors
- To have a positive attitude, be able to recognise and communicate need for change and be able to participate in change management processes.
- Able to lead and motivate staff and yourself
- Work effectively within teams - within uni- or multi-professional at Departmental, Trust or regional level.
- Prepared to attend any training sessions necessary for personal and service development
- Able to recognise limits of own competencies and to refer and seek advice from colleagues.
- Able to travel to other sites within the Trust and to venues for training
