Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break)

We are looking for a proactive Finance Assistant to support the finance team with day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, providing vital support to the finance department and contributing to the overall efficiency of their operations. This position is perfect for someone with prior finance experience, particularly within an SME and a strong attention to detail.Core ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Receivable:Process supplier invoices and prepare weekly payments for reviewReconcile supplier statements and handle client payment inquiriesMaintain and manage an up-to-date vendor list and manage vendor appraisalsMonitor and chase outstanding client paymentsOversee day-to-day bank transactionsOnboard new suppliersReconciliation:Maintain accurate financial records using Sage200Reconcile bank statements, virtual card transactions, and credit card transactionsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesSupport the annual financial auditExpenses:Assist with employee expense claimsAdministrative Support:Maintain organized filing systems for financial documentsRespond to finance-related queries from internal teams and external stakeholdersEssential CriteriaPrevious experience in a finance or accounts assistant roleProficiency in accounting software (Sage200 or similar)Strong Excel skills and keen attention to detailA solid understanding of basic accounting principlesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage confidential information with discretionDesirable CriteriaAAT qualification or working towards itExperience in a project-based or technology-driven businessFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plusPlease submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and skills.NRG is an equal opportunities employer committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
