This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for a teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons in French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school welcomes applicants with a single or dual-language specialism and is particularly keen to recruit a teacher who values cultural education alongside academic progress.The school has a strong languages department and actively promotes modern languages as a gateway to opportunity, encouraging pupils to develop both communication skills and cultural awareness.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in French and/or Spanish to students in KS3–KS4Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations in line with exam board criteriaDevelop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills with a focus on fluency and accuracyUse creative teaching strategies to enhance engagement and cultural immersionMonitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing feedback to support developmentContribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment clubs, language-themed events, or international tripsCandidate Requirements:✔ UK QTS or equivalent, with a recognised teaching qualification
✔ Experience teaching French and/or Spanish in secondary education
✔ Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the current MFL curriculum
✔ A commitment to inclusive teaching and raising pupil achievement across all abilities
✔ Effective classroom management and communication skills
✔ A positive, professional attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a successful team
