- Ensure that customer and business processes are effectively and efficiently adhered to across the project team environment, with a dedication to continuous improvement and enhancement of current project controls methodologies.
- Applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance standards, preferably to ANSI or APM standards
- Practical application of Primavera P6, Deltek COBRA cost management system, and company ERP systems
- Facilitate and plan cross-functional project workshops, including schedule development, control, and analysis
- Build and maintain a performance measurement baseline which includes well defined scope, assumptions, deliverables, Cost and Work Breakdown Structures and a project integrated master schedule that is resource loaded and allows for the integration of risk
- Development of accurate Estimate At Completion
- Supporting cost management activities on projects, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, cost analysis, activity coding control, accruals, invoicing and expense management.
- Demonstrable Project Controls, Planning and/or Cost Management experience in a similar role in the defence or other regulated industry, managing controls throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Awareness of commercial operations, and/or prime contract experience with, ideally in a SSRO QSC/CAAS reporting environment
- Understanding of project management / project business context
- Experience in effective use of EVMS processes within an EVM system.
- User of Oracle Primavera P6.
- Experience using cost management and finance systems
- A strong disposition for professionally maintaining project-wide adherence and compliance to processes, and procedures, sometimes in the face of adversity
- Excellent communication (both written/verbal) and listening skills; an enthusiasm to volunteer and share opinions and views with internal and external stakeholders, and an ability to persuade others.
- Professional qualifications (or working towards) in project management or control disciplines and/or membership of a related professional organisation eg MAPM, ChPP, PMP.
- Security level SC UK (UK eyes only – single UK Nationality) required or ability to gain
