A Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare is looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience working with children who have SEMH needs.This is a great opportunity as this primary school works hard to be a caring and creative learning environment for their pupils, offering an innovative, exciting and rigorous curriculum where children are valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.The RoleThis position is for a 1:1 role working with a child in a year 4 class where you will be responsible for supporting this child who has various Social Emotional Mental Health needs.The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who can provide a positive and empathetic approach when supporting this individual.You will be expected to:
  • Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
