- Demonstrable experience and proven track record in industrial painting and blasting operations, including preparation, application, and finishing.
- Sound knowledge of paint systems, coatings, blasting techniques, and industry standards.
- Keen interest in or proven record of working with paint/blast robotics and willingness to adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while escalating critical issues appropriately.
- Comprehensive understanding of health & safety regulations in blasting/painting environments.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all company and industry standards.
- Keen eye for detail to ensure consistent quality of work.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to give direction and feedback effectively.
- Proven ability to drive, motivate, and lead a team to deliver high-quality blasting and painting operations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to allocate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain performance standards.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and support team development.
- Formal qualifications or certifications in blasting, painting, or coatings (e.g., ICorr, NACE, or equivalent).
- Experience in training, mentoring, or developing team members.
- Familiarity with lean processes, continuous improvement, or efficiency-focused working methods.
