This vacancy is based in Chester.Who do you support?
We support 3 males and a female who have learning and physical disabilities. Three people supported have cerebral palsy and all people supported require personal care, some hoisting and moving and handling. They have all been living together for 4 years and all get on very well.What would a typical shift be like?
The people we support require support with managing their finances, cooking, help with cleaning, manage medication. Support with shopping, booking health appointments and support attending them. Due to one of the gentlemen with physical disabilities, he needs help with hoisting. All people supported require support with dressing/undressing, showering. Two people supported use wheelchairs and two people use wheelchairs when in the community.What activities do the people that we support at this property like to do?
The people we support are active and enjoy going out to the local pubs or spending times in their rooms. We actively encourage them to undertake new activities in the community such as going to the cinema, swimming, watching football and cricket. Going to concerts, support with horse riding.Are there any skills or interests that a candidate could have that would be great to use to support this service?
We are looking for someone who can work flexibly across 7 days and commit to working some sleep shifts.What is the team here or is it lone-working?
You will be working with a small experienced and friendly existing staff team. You will be lone working after 9pm.What are your shift patterns?
