Vehicle Technician Required in Portsmouth (Cosham), Hampshire.
  • Basic Salary: Up to £33,000
  • OTE: £43,000 +
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00,
  • Saturday rota 1 in 4 08:00 - 12:30
Our client is a Multi-Site Dealership group with a larger presence across the South Coast, with presence in East Sussex, West Sussex & Hampshire. They work with several vehicle manufacturers and are seeking a Vehicle Technician to support their workshop and service team in the Portsmouth area.They operate within a modern, purpose-built workshop & service department with a fantastic service and workshops team. Based in their brand new Portsmouth dealership, this role will involve providing support to our busy workshop, assisting with the development of skills of junior and lesser experienced technicians and occasionally liaising with customers.This is a fantastic position for applicants who are looking to move into a customer facing role within the automotive dealership sector.What's in it for you as a Vehicle Technician:

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Undertake Service and preventative maintenance of vehicle
  • Conduct complex diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on vehicles.
  • Carry out in-depth investigations and identify faults efficiently.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific software.
  • Provide guidance and support to other technicians when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technical information and advancements.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
What our client expects of their Vehicle Technician:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a franchised dealership or independent garage setting.
  • Proven diagnostic and technical skills.
  • Expertise in using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Team Player able to assist other Technicians when required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and abilities to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
