This is a crucial role, ensuring that the care plans for looked-after children and young people are robust, child-focused, and regularly reviewed.We offer a great hourly rate of £35.53, recognizing your vital contribution to the lives of our children. 💰Roles and Responsibilities 📋As an IRO, you will be the independent voice ensuring that the needs of looked-after children are met. Your key responsibilities will include:Chairing statutory reviews for children in care, including Looked After Children (LAC) reviews. 🗣️Providing independent scrutiny of care plans, ensuring they are a true reflection of the child's needs and wishes. 🔍Listening to and representing the voice of the child, ensuring they are at the center of all decision-making. 🧒Challenging social workers and managers when care plans are not progressing effectively or in the child's best interests. ⚖️Monitoring the Local Authority's performance and highlighting any areas of concern to senior management. 📈Working collaboratively with all professionals involved in the child's life to promote positive outcomes. 🤝Recording and disseminating review minutes and actions accurately and promptly. 📝Key Requirements ✨To be successful in this vital role, you must meet the following criteria:You must be a qualified Social Worker. 🎓You hold a current and valid registration with Social Work England. ✅You have an updated enhanced DBS check. 🛡️You possess significant post-qualifying experience in children's social work. 💼You have a comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and relevant regulations and guidance. 📜You are an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. 🗣️You have a proven ability to work independently and make balanced, evidence-based decisions. 💡Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
