About the roleThe Fleming Initiative is an exciting and high-profile partnership between Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust working to protect global populations from the threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).Bringing together industry and philanthropic partners, the academic community, policy makers and the public we are looking for a communications professional capable of managing all aspects of the initiatives external profile, from social media channels, to traditional press releases, to innovative events such our and the exciting opportunities offered by our .What you would be doingWorking closely with the Fleming Initiative Team, including our Director Prof Alison Holmes and our Executive Chair Professor the Lord Ara Darzi, you will lead on creating impactful communications content, liaising with partner's communications leads and organising key events throughout the year.What we are looking for
  • Postgraduate qualification in Communications, Media or Marketing, or equivalent
  • You must have previous experience of translating scientific/technical information into communications aimed at non-expert audiences and a range of stakeholders and a postgraduate qualification in Communications, Media or Marketing.
  • Experience of using content management systems, editing, updating and overseeing web content and ensuring search engine optimisation are essential.
  • You will be expected to have an outstanding track-record of writing and commissioning content across multiple mediums, including news reporting, policy reports, briefings, blog posts and web and experience of planning, organising and delivering events of a range of size and complexity, from workshops to symposiums.
  • As you would expect, you must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where you will be required to respond flexibly to shifting priorities and timelines.
