- This is primarily an office-based role, working on-site at Manchester Town Hall Extension.
- Provide continual improvement: Manage configuration improvements and updates through a continual feedback loop.
- Your expert knowledge in new configuration systems: Actively manage and configure technical configuration through modern Intune management tooling.
- An in-depth experience of legacy systems: Have a hands-on appreciation of GPO configuration and management, provide the ability to drill through static and shine a spotlight on relevant configuration and transpose where required to modern tooling.
- AD and Entra: Have in-depth knowledge of user and device management in both worlds.
- Provide secure build assurance: Use your experience to provide assurance and configuration excellence for a task-sequence based build cycle, be able to work with 3rd party hardware build providers to manage the device build and lifecycle.
- Patch excellence: Own and manage the patch cycle in both the end-user device and server environments using both traditional and modern patching tools including SCCM (Config Manager, MS Autopatch and 3rd party tool management to provide operating system and 3rd party application patching across the landscape for physical and virtual devices.
- Deliver Complicated Analysis: Provide reporting and have the ability to deliver complex technical concepts in plain English to all levels of staff and management.
- Know MDM. Have a hands-on appreciation of mobile device management in both Android and Apple platforms.
- Owning it. Bring assurance and ownership to your role, be thirsty to provide an excellent configuration service.
- 5 years' prior hands-on experience in the management and configuration of virtual and physical devices in a busy corporate environment.
- Intricate knowledge and insight into the OS patch cycle, patching methods and tooling to provide a competent service.
- In-depth knowledge of Intune conditional access policies to provide security assurance, be prepared to own the configuration standards.
- Full-insight into packaging and deploying sometimes complex applications using various methods through modern tooling.
- Have an appreciation of modern security tooling in addition to knowledge and experience in the implementation of remediation scripting and ASR policies.
- An overarching appreciation of virtual device management.
- A strong understanding of ITIL (or equivalent methodology) to provide service delivery assurance.
- The ability to produce high quality reporting utilising brilliant communication skills to deliver complex subjects in plain language.
- Significant experience of IT Service Operations and associated risks and challenges.
