Are you passionate about data accuracy, operational excellence, and shaping the future of heat metering in the UK? Vattenfall Heat UK is looking for a meticulous and driven Metering Analyst to join our team and help us deliver reliable, compliant, and efficient metering solutions across our heat networks.As our Metering Analyst, you'll be the go-to expert for managing the end-to-end metering of heat supply to customers and utility supply to our assets. Your mission: ensure robust and accurate billing through seamless data flow from heat meters, while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational integrity.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor metering systems and ensure KPI targets are met for meter reads.
  • Manage heat meter registration and maintain the meter register.
  • Identify and resolve metering faults, liaising with hardware suppliers and data aggregators.
  • Oversee planned maintenance, calibration, and installation of heat and utility meters.
  • Support project teams during commissioning and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Heat Network Metering and Billing Regulations.
  • Compile metering data for internal and external reporting.
  • Develop and refine metering strategies and standards.
  • Act as subject matter expert in metering and Automatic Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
  • Influence industry standards and policy through leadership and consultation.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in metering within the utilities sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to manage large datasets and identify issues.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and technical assurance schemes.
  • Experience in network infrastructure and data processing.
