Tutor Opportunities – OldhamWe are seeking committed and enthusiastic tutors to support learners across the Oldham area. This role is ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, or individuals with experience supporting children and young people who are looking for flexible and rewarding work.Many of the pupils you will work with are currently outside of mainstream education due to reasons such as SEND, SEMH, medical needs, or anxiety. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.Role responsibilities:Delivering 1:1 tuition in core subjects such as English and Maths (other subjects may be required)Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning styles and needsEncouraging progress through engaging, personalised sessionsKeeping brief records of learner progress for parents and local authoritiesWhat we’re looking for:Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or classroom support)Strong subject knowledge in English and/or MathsAbility to engage pupils with a variety of needs and abilitiesConfidence working independently on a 1:1 basisAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What we can offer:Competitive hourly rates (£25–£30 depending on experience)Flexible hours during the school day, Monday to FridayOpportunities to work locally within OldhamWeekly PAYE pay with no umbrella deductionsOngoing training and CPD opportunitiesSupport from a dedicated consultantIf you are passionate about supporting young learners and want to make a difference in Oldham, we would love to hear from you. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
