Whether guiding their path to net zero or redeveloping their facilities for enhanced efficiency, we create better places for work whilst taking away the burden of facility operations, freeing up our customers to concentrate on their business.About the roleRole overviewThe Cleaning Supervisor will be expected, and not limited to, interacting with the client to ensure agreed cleaning standards are met as well as taking an active role in the completion of said tasks across the site. The supervisor will ensure that audits are performed and submitted, with any actions addressed.A key role of this post holder will be the management and delivery of scheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with the CAFM. Responsibility, performance and management of the housekeeping team will be an integral role as a Cleaning Supervisor.What you'll do:
  • Oversee and maintain cleanliness across customer wards, treatment rooms, offices, laundry, labs, recreational areas, kitchens, and toilets, in line with the EMCOR SLA and Cleaning Services Specification.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to agreed standards and within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Supervise additional or specialist cleans as required, ensuring correct use of chemicals and equipment.
  • Organise and manage weekend overtime rotas to ensure adequate staffing and service coverage.
  • Liaise with the client and internal teams to maintain required service levels and ensure timely resolution of any service shortfalls.
  • Report faults, damages, or safety concerns to the Maintenance Department, clearly specifying the issue, location, and urgency.
  • Conduct regular audits of cleaning and waste activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist the Soft Services Lead in identifying cost-saving opportunities within cleaning operations.
  • Collate and prepare waste for collection in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure timely replenishment of cleaning supplies and consumables.
Who you'll be:Previous experience in a supervisory cleaning role, ideally within a healthcare/GXP or large-scale facility.Knowledge of COSHH Regulations.Willing to complete Training within BICS.Excellent level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills.Communicate politely and effectively with EMCOR team / Client.Ability to sustain effective relationship.Ability to plan, Organise and work independently.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.EMCOR UK benefits
