As a Junior Marketing Insight Analyst, you will play a key role in providing valuable market insights and data to drive organisational decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for market research and analysis to contribute to the success of our business.What you'll be doingAs a Junior Marketing Insight Analyst, you will play a crucial role within our Marketing department, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. Working as part of the dynamic Marketing team, you will be the go-to person for market and industry insight reports. Your responsibilities will extend beyond providing insights, as you will also actively support the delivery of Yodel's strategic initiatives. By closely monitoring market trends and gathering customer and client feedback, you will contribute valuable input to inform the development of new propositions. Your insights will play a significant role in shaping our business strategies and driving our success in the market. In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide the Commercial team with industry information and analysis to support their decision-making process.
- Offer client, customer, and competitor insights to inform proposition development and sales tenders.
- Generate trend reports on the parcel industry and retail sector to contribute to Yodel's Commercial Strategy.
- Stay up to date with current and future trends within the carrier market.
- Manage ad-hoc projects as directed and collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the business.
- Produce regular reports and analysis, identifying innovative ways to measure individual activity and evaluate the performance of the Marketing department.
- Manage guest questions for the Have Your Say survey, including gathering requirements, writing, and briefing questions, analysing results, and reporting findings.
- Generate a monthly Insight report summarizing market trends, retailer news, and competitor updates.
- Provide general support to the Marketing function.
- Collaborate with key departments to enhance data capture efficiency.
- Ideally possess a relevant degree or professional qualification.
- Minimum of one year's experience in a performance marketing or market insight-based role.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced operating environment.
- Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced IT skills.
- Proactive attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to interpret and analyse data in various forms, including numerical and verbatim.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose recommendations based on data insights.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines.
- Experience within an Agency or in-house Marketing function involving the use of Marketing Insight in day-to-day decision making would be desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with the following tools would be advantageous, Hootsuite and knowledge of GA4.
