Learning MentorEalingThe role :To provide support and guidance to children and young people facing challenges in learning due to social, emotional, or behavioural issues, or other concerns.Provide targeted support and mentoring for pupils experiencing barriers to learning.Utilize developmental group work, in-class support, and one-to-one approaches.Develop individualized action plans to track progress and assess impact.Focus on students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.Collaborate with relevant agencies, pastoral teams, and other departments.Address the needs of students and families, especially regarding unauthorized absences, raising attainment levels, reducing exclusions, and addressing anti-social behaviors.Execute specific projects determined with Senior Learning Mentors and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).Identify barriers to learning in collaboration with students, teaching staff, and parents/guardians.Jointly engage in strategies to overcome these barriers, including addressing attendance, truancy, and punctuality concerns.Utilize progress, attendance, and behaviour data to enhance standards.Maintain and enhance levels of attendance and punctuality.Work closely with the attendance officer, Safeguarding team, students, and parentsPlan and deliver lessons/workshops tailored to the specific needs of the scheduled cohort.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
