The team is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals within the community.We are seeking an experienced & compassionate full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to become part of our multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with two other consultants.Whether you are seeking a fresh start, or the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you!Main duties of the jobThis position is for a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Working Age Adult Psychiatry within the Reigate Community Mental Health Recovery Service. In this role, you will carry out detailed assessments of mental health needs, provide urgent assessments & home visits, & perform responsibilities in accordance with the Mental Health Act.You willFormulate and execute personalised care strategies tailored to individual needs, deliver therapeutic interventions & comprehensive support services to patients & their families. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive & integrated care.You will provide guidance & support to non-medical colleagues during decision-making processes & caseload reviews, and provide clinical leadership & actively participate in the advancement of service development initiatives.Our offer:
  • Salary: NHS Consultant Grade £109,725 - £145,478 + £149 fringe

  • MB BS or equivalent recognised medical qualification
  • Full medical registration with a license to practice.
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act(or within 6 to 12 months of the time of interview/assessment) or equivalent
Desirable
  • Relevant higher degree, e.g. MD, PhD, MSc or other additional clinical qualifications
  • MRCPsych or equivalent
  • Management qualification or evidence of an interest in developing leadership skills.
EligibilityEssential
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
Desirable
  • In good standing with GMC concerning warnings and conditions on practice
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment
TransportEssential
  • Holds and will use valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Transport to travel between locations and ability to fulfil all duties of the post, including on-call, both within the parameters of the Equality Act 2010
