Protocol Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and nurturing SEND school in Southend. We are seeking a passionate and creative individual with a strong background in the Arts, Drama, Sensory Support, or Therapeutic Practices to join their dedicated team.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a setting that values a holistic approach to education, incorporating sensory strategies and therapeutic techniques into everyday learning. The school provides a calm and purposeful environment tailored to students with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, behavioural difficulties, and a range of additional needs.As part of the team, you will support students on both a 1:1 basis and within the classroom setting. You will play a vital role in delivering an individualised curriculum by using your creative talents to engage and motivate pupils, foster emotional regulation, and build meaningful connections. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), which you will use to ensure consistency, structure, and progress in their learning journey.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualised and classroom-based support for SEND studentsApply creative strategies to promote engagement, confidence, and emotional well-beingCollaborate with the wider school team to implement EHCP targets and behaviour support plansFoster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environmentUse your background in the Arts, Drama, or Therapy to inspire and positively impact young learnersWhat We’re Looking For:A background or qualification in the Arts, Drama, Sensory Support, or TherapyExperience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirableA compassionate, proactive, and adaptable mindsetA belief in the potential of every student, regardless of need
