
Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist for Stroke

- Registered Occupational Therapist (Diploma or Degree) - registered with the HCPC
- Evidence of specialist training in stroke or neurosciences at a Master's level, or working towards this, or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Demonstration of personal and professional development, relevant to stroke.
- Evidence of delivering teaching or training
- Post-graduate Clinical/ Management qualification
- Experience presenting service improvement work at local and national forums
- Up to date knowledge of relevant National Guidelines for the Stroke
- Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of professional and specialist issues
- RCOT membership
- Completed STARS Training
- Extensive experience in stroke specialist services or a related neurological field
- Extensive experience working as part of a Multi - disciplinary team
- Confident and experienced in discharge planning
- Varied clinical NHS experience
- Varied clinical background including community hospitals
- Experience managing complex caseloads
- Have an understanding of community hospitals and system partners
- Experience supervising qualified and non qualified staff
- Experience in staff appraisal and individualised development, including PDR process
- Has completed a Leadership training module
