Position: Welding CoordinatorStart Date: ImmediateDuration: PermanentShifts: 1x Days, 1x NightsHours: Basic 38 Hour week + OvertimeSalary: £35,000 per annum (33% uplift for Nights)Overtime: x1.3 for Over 38 Hours Mon-Fri, x1.5 for Saturday, x2 for SundayThe Role:Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for 2 Welding Coordinators (1x Days, 1x Nights) for permanent roles on behalf of our client, a market leader in the power generation, petrochemical, water and offshore sectors, for workshop based roles near Walsall. Due to the volume of workload, overtime is readily available during weekdays and weekends on Day shift, and during weekdays for Night shift.Duties will include:Reporting to the Welding & Fabrication ManagerHaving the authority to stop production to correct quality problemsReviewing welding requirements.Working with production staff to ensure the suitability of welders allocated to each projectFront Line Inspection at fit-up stageManaging and monitoring the welding system by performing random checks on welding parameters, pre-heats etc.Final Weld InspectionInspecting all welding operations taking place and checking welding standards are maintained.Issuing Weld ProceduresReviewing and managing NDT requirements on all projects.Issuing PWHT proceduresIssuing out and maintaining weld control cardsMaintaining weld mapsPopulating document and certificate packs with welding related informationControlling consumables through the storesWelding stores maintenance / records / temperature recordingRegistering and recording all weld consumable certificatesPeriodically reviewing and managing welder qualificationsEnsuring inspection reports are filed and up to date.Liaising with Production Manager and Supervisors.Working alongside third-party Inspectors.Instructing other staff on findings and possible rectification.Assisting in the control of calibration.Responsibility to health and safety and COSHH.Requirements:CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection Level 2About Us:Integrate Engineering Resources Ltd provides a dedicated recruitment service to the Engineering Construction & Maintenance sectors.
