- Leading, managing and motivating the QC Material Release team.
- Leading the Supplier and Raw Material qualification/testing programme in support of clinical and commercial manufacture.
- Overseeing the qualification and release of materials, ensuring full compliance with GMP standards.
- Coordinating the material release process including sampling, storage, shipment and results reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement in QC procedures and documentation.
- Ensuring QC team members are fully cross-trained and aligned with best GMP practices.
- Managing supplier relationships including complaints, risk assessments, change control, and quality agreements.
- Ensuring critical assessments such as TSE, Melamine, E&L, sterility and container closure integrity are in place and current.
- Supporting QC testing strategy development and capital investment planning.
- Acting as a key contact for external communications with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Significant experience in QC with specialisation in material management and supplier qualification.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
- Ability to take decisions, analyse information in a logical manner, and able to prepare coherent investigative and/or technical reports.
- A strong understanding of GMP, supplier management, and commercial/clinical manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and organisational capabilities.
- A relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification in a scientific discipline.
