Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a confident and adaptable individual ready to maintain a positive learning environment and support pupils during teacher absences?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join schools in Rotherham (S60). In this role of CS, you will supervise classes, ensure continuity of learning, and provide a safe and engaging environment for pupils.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities across a range of subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils to stay on task and maintain productive learning.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil participation and lesson progress.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence in delivering pre-prepared lessons to whole classes.
  • A proactive, flexible approach to working in different school environments.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
