- Overseeing all aspects of information governance within the organisation.
- Implementing and maintaining data protection policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.
- Providing training and advice to staff on data protection matters.
- Handling all data breaches and information requests.
- Working with senior management to develop a robust information governance strategy.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing of the one direct report.
- A degree in law, information management, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks governing IG including:
- The Freedom of Information Act 2000
- The Data Protection Act 2018
- The Public Records Act 1958
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and work with senior management.
