- Week 1 - Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm
- Week 2- Monday and Tuesday, 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 6am-4pm
- Week 3 - Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am
- Week 4 - Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm
- To work safely by applying sound engineering principles and safe systems of work e.g. isolations, permit to work, risk assessment, whilst working across a diverse range of equipment and associated hazards.
- Ensure all work carried out in accordance with JDR and statutory standards to ensure equipment and process are compliant.
- To work as a flexible and motivated member of the engineering team.
- Effective communication with the engineering teams at shift handovers to ensure continuity of technical issues across shift so that informed decisions can be made.
- Effectively and efficiently provide reactive support, planned maintenance and continuous improvements on equipment throughout the factories at the Poole Site.
- Update the Engineering maintenance system to provide feedback on completed tasks to ensure equipment histories and costs are kept up to date, enabling follow up work to be identified and planned.
- Maintain all aspects of the plant relating to M&E, control and automation to ensure reliability, integrity and efficiency.
- Ensure engineering spares are accurately booked out on shift to ensure correct stock levels are maintained to minimise equipment downtime.
- To monitor and develop own skills and those of line teams in line with business needs.
- To assist in the delivery of the site and wider company objectives.
- Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to protect the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
- Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards eg BRC, IFS, Femas.
- Be a member of the site Fire Evacuation Team.
- Understanding of equipment and is able to deliver a great maintenance service accordingly.
- Will do the 'right thing' when it comes to Safety, Quality, Cost, Time and the environment.
- Nationally recognised electrical qualifications (E.g. City & Guilds Level 3 diploma).
- Nationally recognised qualification in mechanical discipline (NVQ L2 / City & Guilds) (preferable).
- Broad knowledge of modern maintenance techniques.
- Wide ranging knowledge of engineering practical fundamentals.
