LCCM is the highest-ranked provider of music performance and music business degrees in the UK for student satisfaction (NSS 2019-2022).PositionAs Learning Technologist, you will support academic teams in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences by leveraging digital tools, virtual learning environments (VLEs), AI, and blended learning approaches that align with LCCM's industry-facing ethos and pedagogical values.The Learning and Teaching Technologist at the London College of Contemporary Music (LCCM) plays a central role in embedding innovative, engaging and inclusive technology-enhanced learning across the College's music-focused programmes (Levels 3-7).The Learning Technologist will contribute to LCCM's development of digital learning and innovation, fostering a culture of experimentation, creativity and student-centred design.RequirementsEssential:
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Demonstrable experience in educational technology or digital pedagogy
  • Expertise in designing and delivering engaging digital learning experiences, particularly in creative or music-based disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of VLE platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) and digital tools (e.g., H5P, Padlet, Miro, etc.).
  • Ability to support diverse learning styles and promote inclusive digital education.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to train, coach, and mentor colleagues across a range of digital proficiencies.
  • Strong collaborative and project management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning resources using data and learner feedback.
Desirable:
  • Higher-level qualification in music, music education, or related field
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Fellowship (or higher) of Advance HE
  • Awareness of current pedagogical theories including experiential, flipped, and blended learning models.
  • Awareness of the specific needs and challenges of music students in digital and blended learning environments.
