- Visiting sites to investigate into technical problems and communicating with customers, factories and LGB accordingly to provide a technically lead solution.
- Assisting the Technical Manager with customer complaints in relation to invoice disputes.
- Providing a dedicated support line for customers and uses this to develop outstanding rapport and relationships.
- Circulating information and investigation details via written reports.
- Obtaining suitable solutions from Liebherr factories on technical issues and warranty claims.
- Raising warranty orders, sales orders, work orders, purchase requests and invoices both internally and to customers.
- Processing warranty claims and ensures that returned warranty parts are sent back to the relevant factory with correct documentation.
- Supporting the hands-on element of operations by undertaking out of hours responses as and when required.
- Assisting in the managing of service engineers and optimising their utilisation.
- Promoting all aspects of the After Sales Department.
- Promoting and prepare parts and service quotations.
- Developing an effective working relationship with the after sales team and can support others where required.
- Escalating the appropriate action in relation to broken or damaged company equipment.
- Effectively using the operating system (BAAN) to be able to manage the following processes; sales orders, warranty orders, purchase orders in addition to checking stock availability and the pricing of spare parts.
- Preparing and submitting detailed reports and feedback for every investigation undertaken, including customer reports if required.
- Pro-actively seeking new opportunities to develop personal skills and looks at opportunities in the role to apply these.
- Taking the initiative to liaise with the various support Liebherr factories as and when required.
- Undertaking all work in accordance with the company's Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and arrangements. Prepare risk assessments and method statements and implement safe systems of work as necessary.
- Undertaking training as required by the company from time to time, both at the workplace and off site, including overseas.
- Representing the division at meetings and exhibitions as and when required.
- Sound knowledge of modern plant electrical and hydraulic systems.
- An excellent understanding of control systems and IT based diagnostics.
- Good communicator at all levels.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
