We are seeking an experienced Sales & Applications Engineer to join a world-leading manufacturer of refrigeration and process cooling systems. In this dynamic role, you'll generate profitable regional contracts, expand the customer base, and manage projects from initial design to final delivery.You will cover the North of England and be based within a commutable distance of our regional office in Leeds.Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the refrigeration and process cooling industry.
- Provide technical support to both existing and prospective customers.
- Design and project manage solutions, ensuring agreed margins are achieved.
- Calculate heat loads and pipe sizes for direct and indirect cooling systems.
- Accurately estimate projects and prepare tailored proposals.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to technical and safety standards.
- Oversee supplier invoicing and prepare detailed sales invoices.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recognised Engineering/Building Services qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the refrigeration or process cooling industry.
- Technical support and quoting experience across mechanical and electrical aspects of refrigeration and air conditioning.
- Knowledge of DX and pumped fluid solutions using refrigerants such as HFCs, NH₃, and CO₂.
- Familiarity with modern refrigeration control systems.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
