Our mission is to create a nurturing, inclusive, and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCO Assistant Headteacher to play a pivotal role in shaping our school’s ethos, curriculum, and support systems from the ground up.The RoleAs SENCO Assistant Headteacher, you will:
  • Lead on SEND provision across the school, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to develop inclusive strategies and interventions.
  • Oversee EHCP processes, liaise with external agencies, and support staff in delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching.
  • Champion the voice of the child and promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to education.
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic planning.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
  • Proven leadership experience in a SEND or SEMH setting.
  • Deep understanding of SEMH needs, trauma-informed practice, and inclusive pedagogy.
  • A collaborative, resilient, and compassionate leader who inspires others.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
